Free Police Reports for Crime Victims

Arizona law requires police departments to provide free copies of police reports to crime victims of Part 1 crimes. Part 1 crimes are defined by the Uniform Crime Reporting Program (UCR) and are as follows: Violent Crime, Murder, Robbery, Forcible Rape, and Aggravated Assault. 


However, many police departments provide all victims of crime free copies of police reports. 


LSCVA contacted each of the following police departments to determine their policies regarding police reports for crime victims. See the table below for department specific policies.
