The Clothesline Project began in 1990 to bring awareness to the issue of burgeoning violence in our society. For those who have been affected by violence, together with their friends, families and supporters, it is a means of expressing their emotions by decorating a t-shirt for display on a community clothesline. The display is intended to honor survivors and act as a memorial for victims.
LSCVA's Clothesline is intended to honor victims and survivors in our community, including our very brave and resilient clients. It is our hope that participation in LSCVA's Clothesline will promote healing and empowerment for victims and those who love and support them.
More information about how to participate in LSCVA's Clothesline will be posted soon, or send us an email using the form below.
What does LSCVA do for self-care? Rock painting!
Rock painting has many benefits; it is a stress reliever, it boosts memory, promotes critical thinking, improves communication skills and more! See 9 Ways to Improve Your Health with Rock Painting.
But we can’t keep all the beautiful rocks for ourselves! LSCVA places our painted rocks at parks, trails, playgrounds and other public places throughout the valley. It’s our small way of sharing joy with others.
What’s more, leaving rocks with LSCVA’s contact information in public locations is one more safe way for victims to obtain our contact information.
Did you find one of our rocks? Let us know below!
